Confi-Lamp
Confi-Lamp is a lighting object designed to be understood through intuitive, unconscious interaction.
The project began with a study of natural user behaviors and the affordances that guide people to pull, lift, or rotate objects without explicit instructions. By analyzing these instinctive gestures, the lamp was shaped so users naturally “know” how to operate it the moment they see or touch it.
Through material and form exploration, the handle-like structure invites a pulling motion to activate the light—turning a simple action into a clear, accessible interaction.
Confi-Lamp demonstrates how thoughtful affordance and minimal visual cues can make a product easy, intuitive, and enjoyable for a wide range of users.
